According to PR Newswire, Delta Air Lines and the Delta Connection will begin offering flights from their home hub of Seattle Tacoma Airport to Orlando, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; Victoria, British Columbia; Pasco, Washington; and Bozeman, Montana.
The new flights will be once daily, year-round and on a variety of planes, including Delta Connection carrier SkyWest with CRJ-700 jets, and Boeing 737-800 and 757-200 aircrafts. The company is set to increase its capacity by 2 percent in 2015 and these new flights are a part of that plan.
Delta flights from SeaTac to Boston are set to start on April 4, 2016. Orlando service will begin on Dec. 19, 2015 and Pasco, Washington, flights are supposed to begin on Nov. 1, 2015. Those looking to head to Victoria, British Columbia, can do so starting April 4, 2016 and on Aug. 1, 2015, Delta will begin service to Bozeman, Montana.
The wide net of locations that currently receive Delta service will be expanding, as Victoria is a new destination. Bozeman, Montana, currently has flights from SeaTac, but only on Saturdays. According to USA Today, Delta's expansion at SeaTac has started a war with Alaska Airlines as they offer similar flight options and competitive pricing. Customers will benefit from this turf-based clash as they will have access to more destinations and lower-cost tickets.
